i have a 9632 card and a aeb-I 4 and aeb-O 8.

I am trying to run hardware compressors as insert effects in Cubase and am having difficulty. Firstly I am having some specific cables made up to split the stereo trs outs to the hardware xlr ins. In Cubases in-out tab I have it running out adat 1+2 and in Adat 1+2 (stereo compressor).

My issue is, I can run the signals out of cubase as adat 1+2. Which comes through the totalmix play back and output channels. The compressor reads the signal.

In the totalmix screen it does not show the signal as coming back in on a seperate channel, the only volume is the main analogue inputs (which show the signal returning from my analogue outs through my mackie bigknob)

Also I have noticed when I get a signal back through the compresoor (which I do sometimes after randomly pushing buttons) it also has the unprocessed still playing behind it. I know this when I mute the compressor on its front panel.

any help would be appriciated.
