Topic: HDSP 9632 and Microphone options ?? Do I have any?!? Please help

Hello,

I bought the hdsp9632 a couple years ago in order to reduce latency issues when producing music (which works great) and now I would like to record but I see there are no connections for a microphone cable??! What do I need to do in order to hook up a microphone with the card? I'm lost..... Any advice is greatly appreciated.

You need a mic preamp, there are literally hundreds to choose from.

depending on what you are hooking the card up to. I bought a focusrite Octopre, which gives me 8 line ins and 8 line outs, or 8 decent-ish microphone pres, but anything with the right interface for your card on one side and a mic pre will do. You could even buy a cheapo USB or firewire Mic pre just for this too - probably cost a lot less than an ADAT option.
