Topic: HDSP 9652 & AES32 in the same computer

As the title says, I have 2 cards in my computer dealing with different interfaces types. They both share the same ASIO driver which is nice!

However, I would like the AES32 to be seen as card#1 by the driver and ASIO, whereas the 9652 is always tagged as the first. I tried to swap the PCI slots, uninstalled the driver then reinstalled the card one by one (AES first, then the 9652), no avail. Anything I could do about it?

If no, is there at least a way to hack the I/O names at the driver level so that I could easily differenciate between the 2 cards? At the moment, I can see ASIO Hammerfall DSP In (1+2) ... ASIO Hammerfall DSP In (41+42) in my host. I would love to have ASIO HDSP ADAT In (1+2) ... ASIO HDSP ADAT In (25+26) followed by ASIO HDSP AES In (1+2)..ASIO HDSP AES In (15+16) instead. I know I could do the renaming scheme at the host level (Sequoia) but I'd rather prefer to do it once for all at the driver level (host independant).

Apologizes if the topic has previously been addressed.

Thomas

Re: HDSP 9652 & AES32 in the same computer

In addition, I'd like to know if there is an option which would allow to address both cards from two different ASIO engines, as opposed to having one ASIO addressing both cards. This would allow me to work @48k with the MADI card, and @88.2k with AES.

Many thanks for your help!

Thomas
