Topic: no sync/lock with either adat or wordclock out

Hi,
I have the old Multiface with PCI card, Windows 7 64 bit. everythings working okay so far.
latest driver 3.085
i connect the multiface to a presonus digimax d8 via adat and i have a bnc cable as well.
strange thing is: the digimax gets the WC clock, but in the HDSP settings, it doesn't show me "locked" anymore. Also the green LED isn't on. Same if I try to snyc via ADAT cable.

The sound is okay, digimax is locked, actually everything is working, so I guess it IS locked, but why do the HDSP Settings not get it???

This worked earlier...

Re: no sync/lock with either adat or wordclock out

What is your setting for SPDIF In on the RME settings app? Are you using 2 ADAT cables for In/Out?

Re: no sync/lock with either adat or wordclock out

Is the Digimax connected to the MF's inputs or outputs? The HDSP settings only show the input status...

Thank you for the very quick responses.

Jeff, I don't use SPDIF at all, only ADAT.

hmmm... so the sync check is only for input?
I also have a (sorry) Behringer ADA 8000. I sync it via wordclock, rme being master. ADA8000 is "locked"
if I then connect the ADA8000 ADAT out to MF ADAT input I get the "Adat synced" message, but Wordclock remains "no lock". If you say, that's allright, then I'm happy - I thought I used to see the "Wordclock synced" message, but maybe my memory is wrong.

Another question: What's the difference between Wordclock single speed or not single speed. Should I switch it on or off?

And one more question: Is there a difference between "synced" and "locked"?
