Topic: moved from g5 to mac pro. inputs have changed position.

hi

our new 2010 mac pros have arrived and we've installed an hsdpe card in each (that connect to our existing multifaces).

in the ppc setup our mic 1 line appears at in 9, if i replace the ppc with the mac pro the same mic appears at in 11. any ideas why this would be? (nothing 'outside' the mac has been changed)

best wishes
max

Different drivers. Assuming you are using an external preamp connected to ADAT, and a new driver may have shifted the SPDIF inputs from 17/18 to 9/10.

hi daniel

thanks for replying so quickly. yes, we run focusrite red7s into our 01v96 then via adat cable to the multiface. so how do i change the spdif inputs back to 17/18?

Sorry, not possible with the new driver. This new channel order avoids shifting of the SPDIF channels' position at 96k (when there are only 4 ADAT channels).
