Topic: Possible Asus M4A88TD-V-EVO-USB3 motherboard compatibility issue...

Hello all,
I've just replaced the motherboard on my AMD Phenom II X4 955 system with an Asus M4A88TD-V-EVO-USB3.
All went well until I plugged in my Fireface 800.. The system would not auto detect the Fireface to enable me to install the device driver? I tried everything I could think of to correct the problem but to no avail. Later on I decided to try installing my Mackie Onyx firewire interface.. The system picked it up straight away and I installed it with no problems! The Firewire cable I was using was the nice long one supplied with the Fireface. I decided to try a 500mm FW cable instead.. And low and behold, the FireFace apeared on the system and I installed the device driver with no problems? With this, I can only conclude that the Firewire chip (Via VT6330) on this motherboard has a low TX / RX signal causing the signal to degrade over the long RME supplied cable. Or I have a faulty Mother Board.. When I get more time I will measure the signal level and post the results.
Regards to all..
