Topic: FF400 Expander?

Hey guys, my collection of synths has now grown and so i have no connections left on my ff400 for them, can anybody recommend some type of expander i could use to plug my synths into?

any info appreciated

cheers

Re: FF400 Expander?

Any AD (or AD/DA) converter with ADAT connections will expand the FF400 by another 8 channels.

Re: FF400 Expander?

cool thanks Daniel, would you have any recommendations/opinion on a good one budget about 600 euro, RME ADI-4 ? cheers

Re: FF400 Expander?

I need the same! 8 more analog input/output

So the solution is an AD/DA converter with adat connections..

which hardware is more affordable?

..and is it possible to connect two FF400???

Re: FF400 Expander?

The ADI-4 is a digital format converter, not what you want. A second FF400 in standalone mode is an option, else there are several such converters in the market for almost any budget.

If you need a pure AD converter (no preamps) with ADAT output at a good price, look for a second-hand Swissonic AD24 on ebay.

Re: FF400 Expander?

I don't need preamps, but I'd like to ask you if is possibile to use a Multiface2 in standalone mode instead of another ff400 or any converters.. ??
