Topic: HDSP9652 + HDSPe MADI in the same box

Hi
    would anyone know is it possible to run those two cards on one computer, at the same time, driving various xtrnal
AD-DAs? I need MADI and AES only, but have 9652 already, and MADI card has no AES (I'm about to order HDSPe MADI). As far as I can see the driver is the same, yet...

Yes, no problem. You just have to sync the two cards.

Thank you for the fast reply:-) Yes I'll sync the whole rig by WC. Doesn't matter one card is PCI and another PCIe?
Or is there any advantegs to get PCI MADI card?

Sorry, the last Q:
are both cards going to use one total mix-er (all i/o madi-adat-etc, on one mixer screen)?

Sorry, no. You will have a separate mixer for each card. You can switch between these with the Unit # buttons, or open both at the same time.

Oh how I wish the MADI cards had a pair of SPDIF/AES I/O and Loopback wink  Apparently all of the FPGA Horsepower is tied up with the 64 Channels of MADI I/O...
