Topic: Fireface 400: flash update failed with error + blinking LEDs=NO SOUND!

Hi!

I'm using MB Pro 13 with the SL. Some days ago during my hard work the Fireface 400 started to make some "zzz"-noises.
So, i decided to upgrade the drivers and the flash. Downladed 'Fireface flash update 1.70 2.77' and 'fireface_x86_275'....
Driver update is OK.
Before the flash update program it shows that i'm on revision 1,49. I've started the process and as result got: Failed with error 9002600.
Turned FF400 off, on... and got Blinking Leds on my FF400, Static Noises and no opportunity to work!!!!!

Dear Support, wtf... whats wrong?

PS: tomorrow my live gig on the end of this world! I need to work!

Can you test the FF woth another computer?

Yes, I did it.
I have the same situation as above on my MB Pro 15 on the old FF driver:
Mixer and Fireface settings are starting, but LEDs blinking and the sound with static noises...

I NEED YOUR SUPPORT.

ps: for this gig i've found another solution but the future gigs are on my lovely FF400 which not works (as u see..)

Seems something is in need of repair. Have you exchanged the cable and/or the power supply unit?

No. Just tryed to update the flash. Standart procedure:
a) driver updating
b) flash updating

My last flash update before this was done about 1,5 year ago..
I think that the program killed my FF sad(( Cause it even does not moved during the update.

with the filenames.

Dear Support, could you give the step-be-step instruction, cause I don't won't to kill my FF.. It is ill, as u see above smile)
It's blinking LEDs even if the firewire plugged out.

There are no specific instructions apart from trying to install the driver on another computer and running the appropriate fut. The blinking is not a good sign, though, might be a hardware problem, which would need repair.

Ok! So, which of 2 Flash updates I have to install in my sick FF?

Mac OS X Intel Flash Update Tool for Fireface 400 and Fireface 800. Update to firmware revision 1.70 and 2.77.     10/08/2009     fut_mac_fire_x86.zip

OR

Mac OS X Flash Update Tool for Fireface 400, PPC and Intel Macs (Universal Binary). Update to firmware revision 1.69.     07/09/2009     fut_mac_fire_400.gz

?fter the installing from another MB Pro-15 (with the old driver and the older Mac OS) the Universal Binay (1,69) my FF got better and don't sick - NO BLINKING!!!! HAVE THE RIGHT SOUND !!! )))))

But, on my first (and THE MAIN, on the new driver and 10.6.4 Mac OS) MB Pro-13 my lovely FF getting some 'ZZZZZZ' sound from time to time. And after opening the mixer that 'ZZZZZ' sound gets normal output music with the right sound...

Do I have to go on the 1.70 for the MB Pro-13???? Drivers got no frindship??? )))

ps2: adat have no problems like this, but it has another problems smile)) funny status i have ))
