Topic: Totalmix Problem

Hi, i'm new on this community...
Today I formatted and reinstalled snow leopard on my macbook pro 15.4''.
So I reinstalled the rme ff 400's driver, i haven't been updating them for some times and so i downloaded the latest 2.87.
Everything is cool, even if i'm a bit disappointed by no more varispeed, but everytime i open total mix it crashes and closed automatically...
I've never been using it in these years (i own the ff 400 since 2007) but i'm wondering if, since it has some problems, the ff400 would have some problems too...

sorry for my bad english!

Re: Totalmix Problem

I don't know the specifics on the FF400, but is your current driver (2.87) compatible with the FF400's currently loaded Firmware?  Sometimes you need to update the Driver and Firmware to get the two jiving...

Since I know MC will ask ( :-P ) - provide us with your FF400's currently loaded Firmware revision...

Re: Totalmix Problem

Oh i'm runnin the revision 1.70!

Re: Totalmix Problem

Should be the most current one according to RME's site.  A MAC user will need to step in and help as I'm fresh out of ideas.

Just to confirm, you are able to use the FF's I/O for recording/playback - but you can't open TM w/o it crashing?

Re: Totalmix Problem

Did I understand that correctly that you installed an older driver first then updated to 2.87?

Re: Totalmix Problem

We can not reproduce. Please try to delete

/User xx/Library/Preferences/com.rme.FirefaceMixer.plist
/User xx/Library/Preferences/Fireface

to reset TM, maybe something got screwed up.
