Topic: RME 800 with USA power cord

Hi all,

I've bought RME800 and got USA power cord with it.
Seller didn't mentioned that in his ad.I live in Australia and
we have different power cord conection.
Now, I know (and saw at back of the unit) that RME800
can be pluged in any world voltage,but what about
power cord connections?They are 3 pins on both ends no USA
type and AU as well.What should I do?

Just get a suitable power cord in a local shop - that's all you need... Bring the original one, so you can show what is needed at the other end...

I have one at home with typical Australian 3 pin input and 3 pin output.
I'm just scared that earth is conected to different pin and fase as well
compared to USA cord.are they?

In that case, every manufacturer of electrical appliances that use these IEC plugs would have to make a special Aussie version...

Of course, audio phase/polarity of the FF will be reversed, because you're down under. But the latest drivers finally fixed that problem where playback was also reversed when using the FF800 south of the equator. We're working on the phase issue. Has to do with gravity, very complicated matter...

So I shouldn't damage unit if I use normal Australian IEC power cable?Does that mean that same phase problem is with all units that are selling here in Australia?
