Topic: Babyface question, using ASIO drivers with Sequoia

Hi all,

Apologies if this is either completely obvious or totally obscure question. I come from Protools world which works a little differently

When using the Babyface in an application with ASIO drivers (for example Sequoia), is it possible to address the digital AND analogue outputs independantly  ?

In other words could I have this facility:

Mixer channel 1 Output > Babyface SPDIF Optical Output > Outboard D/A Convertor > Outboard Compressor

Outboard Compressor > Babyface XLR Analogue Input > Mixer Channel 2 Input

Mixer Channel 2 Output > Master Fader > Babyface XLR Analogue Output > Studio Monitors

As you can see I wish to use the Babyface and record my outboard equipment, while also controlling my studio monitors.

OR as an alternative:

Would the Babyface work with WDM driver, so that my PC internal optical output can be accessed simultaneously but independantly?

Yours, confused smile
DG

Re: Babyface question, using ASIO drivers with Sequoia

Sure, this should work fine. Just set it up in Sequoia so Ch 1 is sent to SPDIF out and Ch 2 is sent to Stereo Master.
