Topic: Multiface I input distortion issue

Hi,

I have a RME Multiface I that I haven't powered on for a few months and today when I did, I am getting strange distortion on all 8 analog inputs. I am recording at -20db  with no clipping on input and have tested two synths and confirmed their output is fine. Some inputs are +4 others -10 but no difference between the distortion on either. The recorded material is distorted so I don't suspect the audio outputs. I have uploaded a small audio snippet for anyone interested in downloading. You can see within an audio editor the waveform is sort of clipped but only on the negative(?) voltage.

Full System:
- RME Multiface I
- PCIe/Expresscard (v18)
- HDSPe Mixer 2.76
- MacBookPro GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
- Snow Leopard 10.6.5

Recording with:
- Logic Express & TwistedWave

I suspect it is dead but any help would be appreciated as I can't afford new hardware at the moment. sad

I am having the same problem.  I had it once before and it just went away.  It has worked for a couple months and now it's doing it again.

Any one with ideas?
