Topic: RME 400 not being detected by Windows XP SP3

RME powers up fine with only the red light still on,
the rme does not get detected in device manager and
trying to right click on the file fireface.inf and install nothing happens.
Been trying to solve the problem my self for 3 days and
its been driving me crazy so if anyone had the same problem and has the right answers will post

check fw cable/try with different computer. Red host light means there is no communication between computer and the fireface, so until it is lit, FF will not work.

I have already done that, both checked the cable and tried on another computer. But even the other computer does not detect the FF Thanks big_smile

Seems you have hardware issue then. I guess you need service....
