Topic: HDSP 9632 WinXP Device Volume after Restart

As it is mentioned on the subject of this topic, what concerns me is the device's (RME HDSP 9632) Volume after restart.
I only use HDSP 9632 as sound card and my onboard sound device is disabled from BIOS.

What is happening is the following. When i succesfully finished the installation of HDSP 9632 (3.08.5 drivers and 154 hardware revision) i have noticed that each time i restart my PC the device's volume is as in the following image.

What i am doing each time i reboot my pc is to manually raise the volume to reach the level shown below.

I use XLR Breakout Cable. The settings of the HDSP 9632 are the following.

Am i doing anything wrong?
Why each time I reboot my PC the device's volume drops to the level of the first picture?

Before installing RME HDSP i used an M-Audio 2496 and i didn't have this issue.

Is this normal with RME units and Win XP or not?

Please let me know.

Thanks and Regards

Yes it is. Works much better under Win 7, and even better with upcoming drivers.

Why? Other cards from other brands obviously don't show this ...

Thanks for the confirmation Matthias.

In any case however the setting of that level does not affect the Volume of the device at all so no big deal.
