Re: PCIe extension Card for MADIFace XT

I'm not RME, but I've been using the Sonnet E-PCIe card [PCIE-E2] and the Molex E-PCIe cables without any issues.  Love the MF-XT inside and out smile

Re: PCIe extension Card for MADIFace XT

Is there a Card from Black Magic too?

Re: PCIe extension Card for MADIFace XT

I believe so, but I can only vogue for the Sonnet card as that's what I'm using with my MF-XT.  No drivers were required for the card (just the RME drivers).  As far as the PC is concerned, the MF-XT is an internal PCIe interface smile

Re: PCIe extension Card for MADIFace XT

Odd - The Sonnet is working peachy keen over here, and is the only way I've ever used my MF-XT.  Not sure what "Reliability" Issues that unknown guy on YouTube is referring to?  He didn't really give any details (user error perhaps?).  Have not heard anything of the sort on the RME Forums...

Pick up the Black Magic one if it floats your boat and make some music! smile

Maybe RME can clarify what "Sonnet Reliability" issues that guy on YouTube is referring to?

There you go smile  That YouTube guy likely experienced user error or other unknown issues.  The Sonnet works with 100% reliability in my MF-XT setup under W7-64.  I do own and use the MF-XT exclusively in my main DAW.

Re: PCIe extension Card for MADIFace XT

Here is a link to a post I made a little while ago that has some relevant info and brands:

The two Matrox cards have shifted address to these links:

Kind regards,

Re: PCIe extension Card for MADIFace XT

How to get the card in Europe? I have checked the links posted but the host cards and the cable are out of stock..
Any advise how to get the host card on a desktop computer?
