If you're use a balanced breakout cable, you need a DI box or simple TS to XLR cable.
If it's unbalanced - do it through the mixing desk.

So, I can plug the TS end of the cable to the guitar and the XLR end to the card's input cable, if I go without a DI box?
Sorry to be asking such simple questions but I've never had to deal with this kind of thing before...and would really like purchase and use the HDSP(e) AIO card!
Thank you very much,
Mauri.
Yes, you can go without DI with AIO's input setting to Hi Level (if required). I do this with synths, I don't have a guitar. With DI your record will be more gained.
Sorry for my English.
Thank you, your information is appreciated, and your english is fine, Nikolay!
Best regards,
Mauri.
