Topic: Hdsp 3632, new drivers and firmware problems

Hello!

Win 8.1 x 64, Rme hdsp 9632 pci

I installed newest drivers and firmware,
and gotten problems with:

DAW (Reaper) sometimes can't open audio-interface wave-channels
especially on changing latency.
Restart DAW fixes it.

and
I've gotten noise in my headphones out.
The latter could have been there before as I've not checked them for a while.

I try to downgrade firmware, but it fails.

What to do?

Drivers: 4.0.4.0 08.10.2014
Firmware ?? From same date.

No such problems here with the same setup.

Still problems after render,
and I hesitate to change latency on the fly.

I wasn't expecting the downgrade showstopper.

Just me?

Why you not use ASIO in Reaper? And reduce the number of WDM channels in the Settings dialog to what you really need?

Using ASIO yes.
Yes, reduced wdm to stereo. I expect that is for OS-sounds.

Tried a few latency changes. And worked fine.
Yet, no changes, so I don't expect all troubles to be gone.

Thanks!

If you don't need WDM because you have 'OS-sounds' from your onboard soundcard and only use ASIO, then set WDM to 0.

Ok, thanks!
Well I use the hdsp for OS and DAW-sounds.
But if important I could change that.
I like good DA for OS-audio though.
