Topic: Windows 8.1 - No Audio Devices

My system is Win 8.1 64-bit, Asus Z87 mboard, HDSPe AIO, latest RME drivers and has been stable for quite a while.
Recently I have seen a problem that is NOT a one-off, it is happening consistently.

After a COLD boot, Windows control panel shows 'No Audio Devices' so of course I can get no sound at all, from anywhere.
Then an immediate WARM boot (via OS 'restart' function) causes all RME devices to appear as they should.
This perhaps sounds like an OS/chipset issue, but I am hoping someone else has seen similar and can shed some light on this.

The only changes I have made are (1) Latest RME drivers a soon as they were available and (2) Addition of a Thunderbolt device (Lacie external HDD) which I keep turned off unless I specifically wish to use it.

All advice welcome.

Re: Windows 8.1 - No Audio Devices

For anyone who may be interested, this problem seems to have been solved by upgrading to the latest release 2 (2.0.4.250) of the Intel Thunderbolt driver (I was previously using release 1)
