Topic: Multiface input/output jumper settings

if I feed a 0vu or 1.227v signal into my multiface, it shows as -9dbfs on the input in TotalMix.

Does that mean if I switch to the "lo gain" setting(as mentioned in the manual) - my input level will read -15dbfs in totalmix, which will give me that extra headroom?

And then regarding the outputs. I sent a 1khz signal out of the multiface at -9dbfs and measured ~1.2v on the output. If I set this to the "hi gain" setting, will that mean when I send a 1khz signal out of the multiface at -15dbfs it will read ~1.2v on the output?

I would test this myself, but my multiface is currently wedged in a very frustrating spot to open up at the moment, I want to confirm this before I start unplugging cables. Thanks for your help.

Re: Multiface input/output jumper settings

Sounds correct: 6dB difference from +4 setting to Hi Gain (output) or Lo Gain (input) settings.  The original MF allows you to set these PER CHANNEL - kind of cool.  The newer MF-II has global front-panel switches for Ins and Outs - easier to access but not quite as flexible IMO.
