Topic: Transferring tracks from one card to another on the same system

So many "impossible" things have come to pass through improvements with the HDSP drivers and firmwares. so I need to ask this.

With the new TMFX drivers, is it conceivable that at one point it might be possible transfer audio between different cards on the same system through the driver instead of having to use hardware I/O? If you look at my sig, you'll understand why this would be practical. Like a cross-card loopback. Even if it handled a limited number of channels (even 1!), it would be useful.

MBP = HDSPe Expresscard: MF1

Re: Transferring tracks from one card to another on the same system

You've probably considered trying to do this in your DAW software under the common ASIO driver and Loopback combined?  I guess that is not a valid solution in your setup?

Seeing as loopbacks happen on the FPGA itself from what I gather, it would somehow need to use Windows to transfer the audio from card to card (slot to slot) - so it would probably not be much different from using the ASIO driver via your DAW software and the included driver latency.
