All you have to do is deactivate Reverb, and set the Delay Time and Feedback of Echo to 0.00. Then raise the Aux fader on whatever output you want to use as Send for your PCM90. Undelayed dry signal from the FX Send faders is then available there.

I'm sorry but can u to in to more detail..... I want to use small aux fader to use a ext hardware EFF unit and use the return from that unit to replace tm effects.......can this be done? If so can u run down the details on how to do it ? Cause I don't think u can assign that small aux fader to a output and a return to the EFF return....thanks

Ah - Clever!

So basically use a silent output channel on the 3rd row (no other audio activity present on this output channel), and set the AUX RETURN slider to unity (the FX sliders are actually "RETURNS" on the 3rd row).  I guess this output fader also needs to be at unity (but again, no submixes are active).  This will send the Aux Send MIX from Top and Middle Rows to this dedicated hardware output channel on the 3rd row.  Since the effects are effectively bypassed - it will be a "Dry" send to your external effects unit.

Then, return this external effects unit into any unused analog input, and have the return fader on the top row feeding whichever outputs you want to get the effects.

So still a little kludgy since the "FX Return" slider on the 3rd row is actually a "External FX Send Master" in this case, and the external returns come up on the 1st row as regular inputs.  Tighter integration into TMFX (with an I/O routing drop-down in the FX section to select internal effects or routing to specific I/O's) would really kick this up a notch IMO.  You could even allow swapping the order of Reverb and Delay if desired.

Randy, you would still need dialogs to edit the I/Os for this kind of operation, cluttering TM FX and not really saving anything except (maybe) the understanding of how to do it. And as such a feature is not what the majority needs we will not spent time with changing it.

BTW, this 'workaround' was requested by a VIP user (name will not be disclosed) which made us update TM FX and firmware to support the 0.0 setting. Earlier versions could not do that.

oh...i see..so use the return as the send and retun the ext effects thru a input.oh ok..got it..good thinking!!!!
