Topic: AES/EBU output quality: HDSP 9632 vs HDSPe AES

Dear all,

I am currently using 9632 to output digital signal from my computer to DAC. I just wonder if there is any difference when I upgrade 9632 to AES regarding the output quality. Checking the manual of both cards, I find that the only difference between them is the output voltage: 3.5Vpp for 9632 vs 4.5Vpp for AES. Will there be significant improvement with output voltage increase? Thanks for your advice.

There is exactly zero difference. In both cases you get 24 bit audio resolution and the same data to your DAC.
