Topic: Samplerate Error

Hi there.

Since three weeks I have a little problem with the samplerate. When I open an arrangement (Cubase 7.5) sometimes a popup appears with the message that the samplerate has been changed. Usually from 44.1 to 32.000. This happens not that often but it appears recurrent. When it happens the DSP Icon in the tray isn't clickable anymore and I have to reboot to return to the 44.1 samplerate.

Any suggestions for that issue?

Thanks in advance

System and hardware:
HDSPe AIO (latest drivers)
Cubase 7.5
Win 7 64 Bit
RAM 32 GB

Here are some screenshots with the messages. It's in german so I translate it:

Pic "Driver1": Choosing a driver. When I try to choose the Asio Hammerfall the system tells me the message on Pic "Driver2"
Pic "Driver2": "Couldn't load the audiodriver. Please check that your hardware is connected to your computer.
Pic "Driver3": self explanatory
Pic "Samplerate": "The ASIO samplerate has been changed"

Re: Samplerate Error

Disable Windows system sounds. Or resample them to match your Cubase working sample rate.

Re: Samplerate Error

Hi.

The WIN Sounds were disabled.

Re: Samplerate Error

The AIO is no longer found in the system or disabled - check the Device Manager when this happens. Therefore the ASIO driver is not working and the icon no longer opens the Settings dialog.

The problem might be the AIO itself, or the PCIe slot on the motherboard. Can you try a different one?

Re: Samplerate Error

Hi MC.

I'll try that. Hopefully there is another slot available. The system ist packed ^^
I'll give report.

cheers

Re: Samplerate Error

Update: It happended again and I checked the "Device Manager". The AIO Card was visible and no error showed up. Well, for me it seems this is not a problem of the board.

Re: Samplerate Error

Update:

I tried a different PCIe slot and it seems to be fixed. Well, I will give report if something happens.
