Topic: Does I/O Box Disconnect power as well?

Hi there, I was wondering if checking the I/O Box "Disconnect" - cuts the firewire 12volt power to my Multiface unit as well as the data as I would like to use my computer without having the Multiface powered on every time my PC is in use without having to physically disconnect the firewire cable? Thanks

Power is not interrupted. Obviously, as the red LED stays on.

OK, just wanted to check first. My red light only comes on when PC is powered up then goes out afterword after the MF2 is recognized. I'm using the MF2 with 1.8 card and the 12v 2amp power supply. I didn't want to try powering up with i/o box "disconnected" without the PS connected as I didn't want the card to overheat and don't know the ramifications of an overheating card. Glad i checked first.
