I am using a HDSPie AIO card on Windows 7 x64, latest firmware and 4.x driver. My headphones are connected via a Focusrite VRM box, which is fed from and synced to the SPDIF out of the audio card. Since recently, if I open certain programs like Hauptwerk (www.hauptwerk.com), the signal in the headphones first gets heavily distorted, then, after a few seconds, it gets lost completely. If I then disconnect the VRM box from USB and reconnect it, all is fine again.

According to the Hauptwerk developer, his program just enumerates the available devices and reads their properties.

Does anyone have an explanation and/or a remedy for this strange issue?
