Topic: How do I route Logic Inputs to Total mix FX

I hear that it's better to do this in order to sum in total mix and then to bounce in there too. Because of that I'd like to know how to do do that so I can see for myself.

Also it maybe of some importance to note that I am rocking the FFUC (pardon me) and that I don't seem to have any of the effects available to me in total mix (3band EQ, compressor, expander, reverb, echo, auto gain). So, whilst were at it could anyone explain that one to me as that would be grand.

Cheers..

Re: How do I route Logic Inputs to Total mix FX

You would just assign each track or stem to a different output of the Fireface UC, then mix the playback channels (not inputs) to a stereo output. You can then use the "loopback" feature to send the stereo mix back to Logic as an input.

Your UC does not have any DSP for effects, so you can't use them.

Thanks

Do you know the benefits of doing this? I only heard of summing and pan law the other day. Untill now I was using the term stereo sum. I can't even remember where I picked that up.
