Topic: ADI-648 as a MADI splitter?

Can I use the ADI-648 as a MADI splitter?

I have 64 channels of mic pre's outputting ADAT signals(8) into a ADI-648. The MADI optical connections from the ADI-648 are being sent to the Optical MADI connections of a Madiface. That's going into a MacBook Pro with Logic Pro. The stereo output of the Logic Pro is being sent back via Madiface back into the ADI-648 and the ADAT out from there is sent to a ADI-2 for monitoring. Can I use the coaxial MADI connections on the ADI-648 to send to another MADI interface/recorder?

The manual states the following on page 9:

Normally all 64 MADI channels will be routed to the according ADAT outputs, and all ADAT inputs to the 64-channel MADI output (optical and coaxial output operate in parallel).

Would I just send the "output" or would it need to connect the "input" as well to sync properly?

Is this possible without adding a Rme MADI Bridge or Direct.Out Split.Converter?

Thanks

Means they are hardwired to always carry the same signal, so yes to all.
