Topic: RME HDSP(e) Driver 4.09 install (FIXED)

Hi Matthias,

TotalMixFX and DSP settings are not getting started automatically once the installation of 4.09 drivers is finished. Shouldn't it do so? Or suggest a reboot/re-login to get them loaded?

Win8.1 64bit

Reboot is required...

Ok, so the installer should suggest it to the user (currently it doesn't). Possible to add?

Re: RME HDSP(e) Driver 4.09 install (FIXED)

just updated mine from 4.07 to 4.09 (hdsp 9652 on win7x64) and it prompted after install that it required a reboot, maybe a win8 thing?

Re: RME HDSP(e) Driver 4.09 install (FIXED)

Not sure.

I did a complete uninstall before too:

Windows Treiberpacket - RME HDSP Series
and
RME Hammerfall DSP (WDM)

Re: RME HDSP(e) Driver 4.09 install (FIXED)

4.09 driver installation worked as usual for me on Win8.1 64bit - prompted for a reboot.

Re: RME HDSP(e) Driver 4.09 install (FIXED)

Did you do a complete uninstall before?

Re: RME HDSP(e) Driver 4.09 install (FIXED)

No, I never do that unless instructed to do so.

Re: RME HDSP(e) Driver 4.09 install (FIXED)

Maybe that's the reason why.

Re: RME HDSP(e) Driver 4.09 install (FIXED)

I am sure that MC could enlighten us both on that one ...

Re: RME HDSP(e) Driver 4.09 install (FIXED)

No, uninstall is not required. And there is usually a prompt for reboot. Are you logged on as admin?

I know that uninstall isn't required but I usually do it. Uninstall does prompt for reboot. Install doesn't. Admin account.

Re: RME HDSP(e) Driver 4.09 install (FIXED)

Hi there

same problem here, i've been updated the driver 4.07 to 4.09

on reboot hdsp32.exe do not run automatically because hdsp32.exe file is not a valid 32 bits application  [ windows response message ]

OS : Vista 64bits

before with the 4.07 driver, no problem
since 4.09, hdsp32.exe do not execute

Thx to fix it in future update

Cheers

Re: RME HDSP(e) Driver 4.09 install (FIXED)

Not the same problem. hdsp32.exe is running fine here (4.09). I'm just missing the reboot prompt from the installer.

I wrote 'We're checking'. Don't break your computer. Reinstall 4.07 and wait for a fix.

Same here with 4.10.

Also why do I have to re-select the preferred WDM device in foobar2000 and Windows Media Player Classic after a driver update each time? Bit annoying.

Sometimes (like now with 4.10 again) the "Direct Sound SPDIF" output doesn't work in Windows Media Player Classic 1.7.9! Sound coming out of Analog1/2 instead. The other "SPDIF" entry is working.  With 4.09 the  "Direct Sound SPDIF" entry was working too. Weird. Something not right with the registered WDM devices I guess.

Win8.1 64bit, WDM devices limited to the first 3 ones (Analog, SPDIF + ADAT1/2)

With the new 4.10 "Direct Sound SPDIF" is working again in WMP Classic. Looks like  this is issue is coming and going with each new driver install (working/not working) .Weird.

New 4.10 still not asking for reboot after install here.

Asked for it, and got it, everything working fine here.
