Topic: RME AIO Balanced In or Not?

Hi
I've upgraded my card from a 9632 to the HDSPe AIO and the card came with both RCA and the Balanced Neutrik option cables.
I used to have connected my 9632 to the tape in-out connections of my Mackie Pro FX 22.
Since it's a little messy for me to change the configuration of my connections for testing purposes (and maybe require buy more cables) I would like to know if I'll get any benefit from connect the main balanced out from the Mackie to the HDSPe AIO input?
It's a little home studio.
The balanced out of the Mackie are connected to my VXT8 monitors btw.

TIA

Kind Regards

Re: RME AIO Balanced In or Not?

You could get slightly better quality signal using balanced cables (less noise in theory). But that doesn't mean that you'll hear any improvement.

Re: RME AIO Balanced In or Not?

Balanced signals are neither less noisy nor will they sound better. They may, however, be less prone to external interference.
