Topic: Fireface UC Single Mic Setup Issues...

I've been working with the Fireface successfully for a little over a year to record vocals in Adobe Audition using an iMac Air, and now that I've decided to move the recording over to my PC permanently, I'm having tremendous difficulty getting the audio to record. In all honesty, I completely fluked getting it to work a year ago, and after reviewing many of the same tutorials and videos I did back then, all I'm recording in Audition is silence.

My setup is a single microphone passed through the Fireface and into the computer via USB. I need to stress that the hardware has been installed correctly, and that I can see and hear the inputs functioning as normal through TotalMix. It's simply that Audition doesn't appear to be receiving the audio. I replicated my previous TotalMix settings as nearly as I could based on a screen capture I took prior to letting the laptop go, but clearly something is amiss and my routing is likely to blame.

I'd be exceptionally grateful for any help.

Re: Fireface UC Single Mic Setup Issues...

Totalmix is in no way involved in recording, but you've chosen an ADAT input in Audition, instead of Analog 1 or 2.
