Topic: No AES input option in DAW

I see options for the hardware inputs/outputs numbers 1 through 192, but not for AES.

I can see signal is coming into TotalMix in the AES channel, but how can I record it into Ableton?

In TotalMix, I can't figure out how to route AES to channel 1. Why is it so confusing? Is it made to hinder creativity? sad

Re: No AES input option in DAW

AES is on inputs 193/194? Then your DAW can not handle more than 192 channels. Ask Ableton.

To reroute it simply send the input signal to any hardware output and hit the loopback button in that output channel. The AES signal will now show up on the DAW input with the same channel number as the output that has been set to Loopback mode.
