Topic: 3 x Multiface II - No sync!

I have three Multiface II's in my system:
2 x HDSPe PCI card
1 x HDSPe ExpressCard with PCIe adapter

First MF is the 'sync master' (internal sync)
Second is synced to first with Word Clock
Third is synced to first via optical connection

The problem is that the slaved units don't sync. ('No lock' in all sync methods)
When I had just two MF's (PCIe and the ExpressCard, word clock sync) they synced just fine.

Edit:
With the current setup they sometimes seem to sync temporarily, but the sync is lost at some point, slaves reverting to internal sync.

Any ideas what to try?

(Windows 7 64bit, latest drivers, 88.2kHz)

Another question: in later Hammerfall settings dialog there's option 'Multiface II' in IO box config, I assume this should be selected?

(The '?' icon doesn't work in settings menu, and I couldn't find this item in user manual..)

Thanks in advance!

Re: 3 x Multiface II - No sync!

After carefully reading the user manual I noticed this:

"Also HDSP should not be the Preferred Device for playback, as this could cause loss of synchronization and unwanted noises."

Maybe this is the reason for my problems? Will try when getting back to studio.

Re: 3 x Multiface II - No sync!

Follow up: I managed to fix the sync problem by chaining the sync: first device provides sync to second via S/PDIF, seconds device provides sync to third via Word Clock.
