Topic: rs232 controller--serial over madi

Hello all,

I want to try the following.

I have a rs232 controller and remote device currently connected trough a... serial cable. So far so good.
I want to eleminate the long length of serial and push it over madi.

My idea was to put my second backup recorder PC on stage with my receiver preamp and connect them to a com port.
My main pc stays with me and the remote controller also connects to the com port.

Do you think this will be stable and doable?

Ah i found some answers. rs232 is not made available for private use ;-)

Have to port to midi over madi that should work!
