Topic: 9632 in ASROCK Z97 Pro4

Has anyone had good results with this setup? I know the pci are bridged, I have one. I'm having more trouble with it than the Asus P8P67 3.1 I replaced. I'm getting spikes in the 1st core mostly, and while I don't get dropouts, the audio goes and comes back when the spike lets go. Can't figure it out. Any help greatly appreciated.

Re: 9632 in ASROCK Z97 Pro4

I found a couple different pcie/pci adapters that some have had success with, not using the bridged pci slots.

Has anyone used either of these successfully with a RME 9632 pci card? Thanks, Shep

Re: 9632 in ASROCK Z97 Pro4

I am using a HDSP RME PCI-card (Multiface) with a PCIe/PCI bridge in a ASUS Z170 mainboard. But the HDSP PCI card is smaller that the 9632. I believe you have to modify your cabinet or use a bridge with external case/cabinet.

Re: 9632 in ASROCK Z97 Pro4

I got the StarTech today. Had to modify my rack pc case to get 9632 breakout cables attached. It runs, but no difference whatsoever in my stuttering/spiking. The pic shows all plugs disabled, and the system merely idling. I tried different pcie slots, too, though IRQ showed no conflicts. I did a complete clean install on Samsung SSDs 2 weeks ago. Extremely frustrated. Apparently I am out of luck using my 9632. Good money after bad.

Re: 9632 in ASROCK Z97 Pro4

Ive just built a new system (6th gen intel skylake 6700K cpu using an asus z170-a motherboard which has a native PCI slot, my HDSP9652 works perfectly).
Maybe ditch that mainboard (or sell it on ebay?)
