Topic: Fireface 802 USB

As anyone had any luck getting sound from the Fireface 802 USB ?
I tried under ubuntu and even with latest kernel i can't get sound, when i connect the USB cable the light turns on and then off after a second.
I would just like to confirm if with anyother distro anyone managed to make it work.

Thanks

Re: Fireface 802 USB

I suppose you put the FF802 in standalone mode?

Re: Fireface 802 USB

He meant 'Class Compliant' mode. See manual. It requires a Windows or Mac PC to activate that mode in TotalMix FX, or the optional ARC to do this directly at the unit.

Re: Fireface 802 USB

Nice.

It's working now.

Last question, in this mode i wont get all the inputs and outputs available right?
As i only see stereo in and stereo out. Or am i missing some Jack configuration?

At least now i can use my Linux laptop to compose smile
Reaper, wineasio, jack, rme ff802, and all my windows VSTs working, this is nice.

Again - the available CC modes are described in the manual. How to select them under Linux I have no clue, though.

Just recorded two stereo channel (4 inputs). Its routing good!

Thanks guys.
I can now use my Linux system for about all i need. For more advanced stuff i still need to plug the RME to a windows machine for Totalmix.

Re: Fireface 802 USB

What are you using in the last screen shot to route the inputs and outputs of 802? Is it possible to active 48v/line/inst/mic also?
