Topic: How to correctly clock?

Hi!
please, can anybody help me?

I have studio setup as shown on https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwnELU … sp=sharing adn i am still getting clicks from Motu896...

Even when i added WC cables and set again SSL and Motu devices as slave via WC (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwnELU … sp=sharing)  i am still getting clicks from Motu896...

So, please, how to correctly clock this system?

Thanks,
Peter.

Re: How to correctly clock?

looks better. usually on both ends BNC-T and Resistor. But you could try also this and enable the internal resistor of the RME card.

Re: How to correctly clock?

Thank you!
i am surprised, WC must be terminated on both ends (RME card is master)?
...Nevertheless i am going to buy BNC-T s, terminator(s) and i will try it...

Re: How to correctly clock?

WC must NOT be terminated on 'both ends' if one end is the WC output.

Re: How to correctly clock?

Sorry then I was wrong.

I used BNC in Ethernet networks and there you have to do it on both ends, because Ethernet cards to not have built-in resistors. This is different with WC in this scenario as the RME Card has a toggle switch for that.

... so done, connected as shown here https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwnELU … sp=sharing and still getting clicks from 896HD. Looks like 896HD is out of whack...(((

Re: How to correctly clock?

How do you know the clicks show up in the Motus, not the SSL?

Re: How to correctly clock?

That doesn 't proove anything, as the Motu signal has to be received correctly by the SSL. If that one fails it will look identical in TM FX.
