Topic: Expanding Multiface setup

Hello,

I have a 3 old Multiface setup that runs perfectly for me, but I need more than the 54 channels it provides.

I know that the driver can use "only" 3 units, but is there a possibility to add anothe one or another RME interface (Firewire or USB) without having to aggregate them, that is to use only one driver for all ?

I use Windows 7 and even if it may work with ASIO4All (I have tried with another sound card) it is far to be as reliable as a single RME driver...

Thanks !

Re: Expanding Multiface setup

Would it be worth you selling one of your multifaces and getting a Digiface too take its place. That would give you more channels.

Re: Expanding Multiface setup

Oh, I didn't thought it was possible to mix multiface and digiface.
But you are right, if it works it would be THE solution for me !
Thank you !

Re: Expanding Multiface setup

As I think it shall not be too costy but a good solution:

What about RayDAT + 3-4x Behringer http://www.thomann.de/de/behringer_ada_ … 0_317776_0

Or RayDAT and 2 x Ferrofish ? http://www.thomann.de/de/ferrofish_a16_ … verter.htm

Re: Expanding Multiface setup

I have found a Digiface, waiting to test it in replacement of one of my Multiface !

About the Raydat : would it work together with the Multiface driver and Totalmix ?

Anyway, if it works as expected with the Digiface, it will be nearly perfect for me (I needed 64 channels but it will be "only" 62...).
Thanks for your replies.
