Topic: 2 x AES 32 pci clock

Hello!
I own 2 AES32 pci cards and 3 units of adi-8 qs converters.
I have some questions in order to understand the best way to clock this system.
1) Do I have to connect first the 2 cards internally with a ribbon cable at the sync board and then use the word clock I/O to connect the converters with BNC or the hole system is internally clocked?
2) what do I have to do with the 75Ω jumper on the audio cards?
3) in case of the sync ribbon cable, do you recommend anything special?
4) Is it possible at the control panel of the audio cards to have all the channels show "sync" and still have problems with synchronization (jitter, noise)?

I'm somehow confused although I try to read again and understand the manual, but it's my inexperience on these systems that slows me down.
Any help to understand the best way to clock this system would be apreciated!
Thank you so much for your time and knowledge!

Re: 2 x AES 32 pci clock

If you use the internal Sync connectors then there is no need for any further word clock cabling. Just set all ADIs to slave to AES, the second card to slave to Sync, and the first card to be the clock master.

Re: 2 x AES 32 pci clock

That 3 pin sync cable should have been in the box, AFAIK.

Re: 2 x AES 32 pci clock

Unfortunately I've never had the boxes - that's a long story...but I believe I'll find my way to the RME accessories store. As I see it only costs 8-10€.
My only concern is to make the system work properly.
Such lovely converters...I must say, they have great sound!
Thank you MC so much for your time!

Re: 2 x AES 32 pci clock

Can I use HDSPe AES + HDSPe AIO in the same computer?

Re: 2 x AES 32 pci clock

Thanks.

Is the HDSPe AIO pinout of the digital input D-SUB 9 pin connector (balanced AES breakout cable), the same of the HDSP 9632?
