Topic: Latency Compensation possible?

Hi,
i got my ufx a few days ago. Im using it with an adat extender (Ferrofish A16). They work very good together,, but I noticed that the Ferrofish is a bit slower in A/D-Conversion than the UFX (its around a tiny 1 ms). This isnt much, but it can lead to phasing problems. Is there some sort of latency compensation built in the Software where I can delay certain channels? The A&H Qu-Pack has it, but I couldnt find it in Totalmix yet. This would not only be for slower ADAT extenders, but a good help for not ideal positioned mics as well.

Cheers

Re: Latency Compensation possible?

The Latency compensation is in your DAW software, not in TotalMix. TM is a real-time monitoring solution, not a record program.

Re: Latency Compensation possible?

Hi Matthias,
thanks for the quick clarification smile

But Durec is a recording function of the UFX, right? And the interface is also promoted to be usable as a standalone mixer. So wouldn't it make sense to built in a latency compensation for TM? Or is it not possible because of the architecture of the system?
