Topic: 9632 - headphone out static noise

Hi,

I've recently bought a 9632. Unfortunately, I am very close to return it to the store...

I've bought the card for my home studio, it was supposed to be a massive upgrade form the crappy maudio2496 I bought almost 10 years ago... well, that seems to not be the case.

I like to play computer games when not recording. Sadly, the RME generates a static noise when playing games. The noise is not very loud, but it's there.

It can be heard only when using headphones. The line outs are dead quiet. I also bought the XLR breakout cable for my card, the noise is present on headphone output on the XLR as well as the unbalanced breakout cable.

So, is my card faulty? Or is it supposed to be like this? I remember a thread on gearslutz about this problem with the AIO good few years ago.

All in all I'm disappointed.

My problem is solved. I've taped the card's bracket and that did the trick. Nice and quiet now.
