Topic: Could someone shares Workspace files for Babyface pro?

Hello,

I'm a blind musician and unfortunately TotalMix FX not accessible with screen readers.
I created some workspaces with my friend for enabling Phantom for Mic1, 2, setting volume for in 3/4, setting mono and stereo for 3/4 etc..
Now all of my files has been deleted due to Windows problem.
I installed all softwares; but I can't record anything sad

I hope RME will help us to add support to Totalmix for screen reader, it is really bad thing to can't use it!

Could you share your workspaces or connect my computer via TeamViewer for creating some settings for me?

Thanks in advance..

Just for the case that your DAW is supported by screenreader,
then Totalmix new operational mode "DAW" might help.

Then the routing of channels happens inside of your DAW.

Configurable in: TotalMix -> Options -> Operational Mode -> Digital Audio Workstation Mode

BTW .. what are the requirements for screenreader support ?
I looked at a webpage of such a product and didn't get a clue.

Re: Could someone shares Workspace files for Babyface pro?

Mail or call me next week, I can help with Teamviewer (rme-audio.de/tv). That said, no specific workspace or TM configuration is required for recording functionality (except for perhaps gain and phantom power settings).
TMFX has a highly visual user interface - it would likely be very difficult to keep an overview by way of a screenreader.

@ ramses, screenreaders are for the blind - they read out screens and menus for you.

Hello Ramses,

First of all, thanks for your reply.

Ok, I will try DAW mode as soon as possible, my DAW (Cakewalk Sonar) accessible.

Developers can add support for screen reader if they want;
1. label all elements on the screen (buttons, sliders, checkboxes etc.) programaticly.
2. Add a menu for enabling and changing some functions (e.g: routing, phantom power)

An example, when one of my friend right click on the channels etc, I can read and make changes in the contex menu without problem now.

You can understand from that; Apple Logic and Garageband, SoundForge, Cakewalk Sonar etc.. all of them accessible, are they easy and basic softwares then TotalMix?

An other example; we can use RME control panel applications without problem. Yes, it has some bugs; but there is no problem to change basic settings like latency.

Dear Daniel,

Firstly, thanks for your offer, I will contact you.

Sorry but.. I don't agree your second comment about accessibility difficulties.

You can find some accessible software examples in my reply to Ramses. They are not easy than TotalMix I think..

I only wants to navigate between buttons with my keyboard, because all options (including contex menu and menu bar) are accessible as wel.

I can activate menu bar by pressing Alt key and modify settings without problem, but I can't activate contex menu for routing.
