It seems like TotalMix have an issue handing multiple MIDI ports with identical names (Windows 10 64bit, FireFace 802).

I have 4 Behringer X-Touch Mini's, and they show up in the MIDI connection list as:

  X-TOUCH MINI
  X-TOUCH MINI
  X-TOUCH MINI
  X-TOUCH MINI

which seem to confuse TotalMix.

Has anybody had this problem, and maybe found a good workaround? My own current workaround is to map the 4 X-Touch Mini's to 4 virtual MIDI cables using MIDI OX and loopMIDI. It is not perfect because MIDI OX will only remember one X-Touch Mini MIDI port from last setup, but at least it is relatively quick to add the 3 remaining manually and draw connections to the Virtual MIDI cables.

One could argue that the X-Touch Editor (a program to edit the X-Touch Mini setups) should be able to add numbers to the MIDI port names (I have raised the issue with Behringer), but I think TotalMix should also be able to handle this situation.

Ableton Live handles this by internally postfixing numbers to the MIDI ports. Hope something similar could be implemented in a future version of TotalMix.
