Topic: Best way to connect Hammerfall DSP w HDSPe ExpressCard to desktop?

I've inherited a Hammerfall DSP Multiface and an ExpressCard HDSPe from a friend, and am looking for the best way to connect it to my desktop tower.

I've got an ExpressCard -> Thunderbolt adapter, is my best bet to get a Thunderbolt card for the PC desktop, or is that too much translation going on and I should get either an ExpressCard -> PCIe card for the tower, or will I need to replace the ExpressCard HDSPe with a PCIe card of some kind?

Experience welcome. It feels like the Thunderbolt card *should* work and give me more flexibility in general...

I don't know if thunderbold is a solution, sorry. But at least pcie to expresscard is way cheaper, involves one step less and afaik has been known to work. But if you need thunderbold anyway or like experimenting go for it...

As most people never answer when they get things working...

Got a PCIe to ExpressCard interface, it generally works fine, but since Windows 10 I've been having sleep issues that I'm trying to track down. Starting to suspect I just can't have the host computer go to sleep at all.
