Topic: ADI-648 - splitting MADI stream

I have setup where I bring the signal from the XTCs on stage to FOH via fiber.
In FOH I have ADI-648 which distributes the signal to my digital console via ADAT cables.

I'd like to record the channels from MADI to laptop using MADIface USB which is connected with coaxial from ADI-648.
The settings panel shows that MADIface is synced but I don't get any audio.
Global Record and TotalMix both show UFL when the State doesn't have its light on.

If I understood correctly without pressing the State button there should be copy on MADI stream in coaxial output as well.
I wouldn't like to use MADIface before ADI-648, I'd like to use it on the side.

Am I doing some settings wrong?

I've managed earlier to make this scenario work with State button on and configuring the matrix, but I managed to mess my settings while in hurry and in studio scenario where I had to improvise with cabling and matrix.

You have to route it in Adi. If you don't the adat inputs are routed to the Madi outputs.
Madi input has to be routed to adat and Madi.

The matrix is a bit confusing for me, especially when in hurry and thats why I'd like to leave it out of the equation and work with 1:1 patch between optical and coaxial.

Re: ADI-648 - splitting MADI stream

Actually it is really simple.
Remember to first choose the output with the lower button, and then the wanted input with the upper button.
Not input -output thinking, but the other way round.
This way you can assign multiple outputs to one source.
Make yourself comfortable with it, otherwise it is not possible.
