Topic: Madiface XT Protools 12 crash

Hi,

since a few day's I am trying to use my Madiface XT on my late 2008 MacBook Pro with Pro Tools 12 HD. It is therefore connected via external PCIe with the Matrox MXO Expresscard and a 3m Molex cable.

As soon, as I select an input beyond the first 64 MADI channels for one track and hit record enable, ProTools crashes.
I already had the same issue with PT11HD.

Is this a known problem? Does there exist any solution?

PT, RME Drivers and Firmware are each the latest available versions.

Thank you very much!

I believe this is/was a known Protools bug.

(pardon me for being honest)
AVID keeps not giving a fck on purpose, sorry to say that ProTools suck no matter how much everyone praises them and keeps blabbering about PT being PRO choice worldwide, only reason PT ain't dead already is that nowadays seniors who started on PT are not going to learn anything else,
solution is to get a good up-to-date DAW, like Cakewalk Sonar (Windows only) or Reaper for ex.

Besides, it's high time to look for something else, since Avid is under financial control by those who saved them from bankruptcy. The entire audio development team has been sacked, all development is external now...

Generally, that is not good news for bug fixes.
