Topic: Macros and Scripts to Open TotalMixFX: Uniquely difficult

I'm attempting to write a macro that toggles the TotalMixFX open and hidden. (Win 7, 64bit)
Apparently, the TotalMixFX.exe file is invisible to windows navigation, even though I can physically see the icon: commands that open files cannot find this file.  It's quite strange, and it's the only .exe file that exhibits this behavior.
I've been using AutoIT for scripting.
Bome's MIDI Translator also has a command for opening programs, but it fails to see the TotalMixFX.exe: it's absent from the list of .exe's.
I'm able to open TotalMixFX.exe with a batch file, but if I open that  same batch file from any external program, the error is "Cannot find TotalMixFX.exe"

On my machine, it's located at: C:\Windows\System32\TotalMixFX.exe

Thanks, but unfortunately no.
The TotalMixFX.exe simply cannot be opened by any other application/scripting.  I hope I'm wrong.  When I attempt to open the .exe through MIDI Translator, the TotalMixFX.exe is simply missing from the list of .exe files in the target folder.  Why would the navigator show every .exe in a folder but not the TotalmixFX.exe?   Odd.

Thanks!  The AutoHotKey scripting language is able to access the TotalMixFX.exe while others cannot.   This workaround is successful.
