Topic: Phantom Power lock
Is there any way to lock or restrict the phantom power button in TotalMix FX? I don't want to accidentally turn it on while using my dynamic microphone and blow it.

If your cabling is OK, phantom power will not blow up a mic...
Only if you have a mic with wrong internal cabling, or a short in an XLR, there is a chance of damaging the mic. And it's mainly ribbon mics who are sensitive to this.
Hmm, I swear I read something that said it was a bad thing. OK, thanks.
The bad thing you read about may have been when phantom power is on and you plug/unplug something at that input. The resulting spikes have the potential to destroy the sensitive input stage.
