Topic: OSX AudioMidi horizontal input sliders change Gain settings in TMFX

Hi.  OSX Sierra, RME Babyface (original).   If I go into AudioMidi, and adjust an Input slider to the left or right, this changes the Input Gain for the related channel in TotalMix FX.

Is it possible to 'protect' TotalMixFX settings from the OS making changes?

thanks

You mean "from the USER making changes?

AFAIK there's no protection from it. And I've never known OSX to change these settings. I'm not so sure about Skype, fi, but I wouldn't tolerate any software doing that. And I haven't even known Skype to do that, but I seldom use it, so ymmv.

Cisco WebEx, if you select Autogain, it will adjust TotalMix input gains.
Cisco WebEx, if you manual drag the level slider, it will adjust Totalmix input gains.

I want to isolate Totalmix so that nothing else can change it.
