Topic: OSX El Capitan speaker / recording question

Hi and thanks for existing as a company. You have the most impressive Windows drivers I've ever seen. You make Windows act like it had CoreAudio with audio seamlessly working across ASIO etc at the same time with no exclusive BS like the others. Also it's ROCK STABLE.

OK to the question. I am sitting in OSX El Capitan with HDSPe RayDAT and I am wondering if the driver can support input for a microphone connected to channel 1 in the preamp on the AD/DA.  I want to use it for Skype and facebook. I noticed there's no supported volume control. The inputs look like this:

There seems to be no way of configuring "normal" inputs and outputs in the OS? Am I missing something?

Logic etc works of course fine, I am thinking about system audio that apps like Telegram etc use. They just expect it to be set up in the OS. How do the apps know which channels to use? What if I want to use channel 5 for instance for microphone to use in facebook?

Re: OSX El Capitan speaker / recording question

The default in OSX is input 1 for communication mic input (Skype, etc). You can assign a different channel in the Audio/MIDI setup application.

Re: OSX El Capitan speaker / recording question

Right, thanks. But how do I assign the channel? That screenshot IS the Audio/MIDI setup application.

But this is what options I have:

Anything doing with input is disabled, like the RME driver doesn't give it the option. Am I missing something here? How would I set channel 5 to input if everything's disabled?

Thanks!

Re: OSX El Capitan speaker / recording question

Is that the Input or Output tab? Looks like Output since you can "Configure Speakers" here.

Re: OSX El Capitan speaker / recording question

Hi! It is the Input tab. But the context menu is independent of whether it is input or output tab that's selected. The thing is that it's disabled either way.

Project seems dead, and no binaries. But shouldn't this work without any hacks?

JUST LOOKING FOR THE SOUNDFLOWER INSTALLER?

Isn't the type size big enough?
